Considerations
- Two flooring types:Â
- Soft carpet area for group time
- Hard flooring (LVT or Mondo) for crafts, meals, and messy activities
- In-room sinks and drinking fountains (non-negotiable)
- Direct access to a secure outdoor learning/play area
- In-room restrooms for TK/K
- Tables rather than desks
- Built-in cubbies for backpacks, lunchboxes, and personal items
- Soft seating and calming corner (with tactile tools, posters, pillows)
- Library nook with low shelving and early-reader books
