Purpose:
Home base for daily instrumental music instruction.
Activities:
- Large-ensemble rehearsals (up to 70 students)
- Technique work
- Instrument care
- Sectionals (if space allows)
Considerations:
- High ceilings (some rooms have lower ceilings that worsen acoustics)
- Built-in acoustic treatments
- Adequate instrument storage (current practice rooms being used as storage)
- 4 practice rooms ideally:
- 1 large (15–20 students)
- 3 small (2–4 students)
- Sink for basic instrument cleaning
- Safe flooring free of elevation inconsistencies
