To allow trucks to deliver goods safely and efficiently to the kitchen.
Activities
- Delivery trucks unload pallets
- Staff receive, check, and move goods into storage
ConsiderationsÂ
- Ideally: Loading dock or height-appropriate receiving platform
- Wide, pallet-sized doors (currently missing at all but one school)
- Clear truck access—no student conflicts, no tight turns
- Gates that open easily during deliveries
- Paved paths to walk-in coolers/freezers
